Legal Notice

Legal services are provided based on established fees in accordance with permitted billing methods under the Attorney's Tariff. From experience, hourly rates are the most commonly used fee arrangement. This does not exclude the possibility of using other types of fee arrangements, such as flat fees, non-contractual fees, or contingency fees based on the value of the matter.

The hourly rate is determined based on the complexity of work, with specifications and a qualified estimate provided in advance. The actual rate depends on the agreement between parties and the specific case circumstances.

Clients are kept informed about fees throughout the provision of services and the progression of their case. When representation is undertaken, a legal services agreement is concluded, specifying the agreed fee arrangement and its details. An advance payment for legal services may be required. All fees are subject to VAT at the statutory rate, plus reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses and time lost in travel where applicable.

The Czech Bar Association was authorized on February 5, 2016, by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic to handle alternative dispute resolution for consumer disputes between attorneys and consumers regarding Legal Services Agreements (pursuant to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, as amended). The authorized body's website is www.cak.cz.
